As a boy Mike's goal and dream was to play professional football. Tragedy struck his family as his father passed away from an automobile accident. Mike was 7 years old when he was faced with greif and fear. As he grew older he developed severe dyslexia which doctors said would detour him from graduating high school and playing sports.

This challange turned into determination and hard work. Despite adversity Mike held claim to numerous track & field record. He was named All-American running back in High School and All Big Sky Conference Selection while paying for The University of Montana.

Mike saw his dream come true as he signed and played for the Seattle Seahawks, USFL Michigan Pathers and USFL San Antonio Gun Slingers.

While Mike thought he would turn to coaching after his Professional Football carrer. He was asked to serve along side former atheles with a ministry called THE POWER TEAM. After serving and becoming the Vice President for 14 years. Mike was compelled to start THE STRENGTH TEAM in 2001. Mike's unique gifting as a motivational speaker and evangelist would be the catalyst that God used to build this ministry composed of 12 different athletes and ministers. The Strength Team has reached far beyond the United States of America by traveling across the World and sharing a message of Hope to tens of thousands each year. The Strength Team's mission is simple: We use our talents and abilities to share the Life Changing Message of The Gospel to the World around us.

In October 2015, Mike Hagen left this earth and entered in to Heaven's eternity. Mike will always be missed for his love for God, Family and People. Mike's Legacy will live on through his Family and Friends and the continuation of The Strength Team. Mark Rodriguez, his son-in-law and Vice President was unanamously voted in as the preceeding President to continue foward. Mark served with Mike like father and son for 12 years and holds the same passion and zeal for ministry as Mike did.
